Don’t you ever see something in the right lighting and the perfect composition and wish you had SLR cameras on you. You whip out your smartphone and take a shot but it’s not the same, too bright or too dark, no way to adjust. Taking pictures with your phone is a good way to capture a memory, but for the artistic photographer you can’t do without professional tools.
There is a preponderance of amateur photographers these days. That’s fine, but what you have a problem with is their equipment. You recently heard that during the Jasmine Revolution in Egypt the Wall Street Journal sent their reporters to shoot photos with iPhones. Sure an iPhone may be easier to carry than SLR cameras, but there are lots of settings neglected when you use the inferior camera on a phone.
Some other reasons SLR cameras are the better choice:
Lenses: You can shoot whatever way you want – from wide angle to long focal lengths. Image quality can differ accordingly.
Speed: Less grain comes from a Nikon SLR because they use faster shutter speeds.
Value: The best Nikon cameras hold their value much better than any smartphone or point and click.
So don’t settle on your smartphone’s camera, get a Nikon SLR and take better photographs.

Believe it or not, there are people out here, that prefer a small and leightweight DSLR body over tons of features and buttons!
